About The Position

Rambus , a premier chip and silicon IP provider making data faster and safer , is seeking to hire an exceptional MTS Validation Engineer to jo i n our Buffer Chip Validation team . In this role, you will be working with some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world develop ing products that make data faster and safer. As a n MTS Validation Engineer , you’ll play a pivotal role in validating next-generation high-speed memory buffer chips that power tomorrow’s data centers . In this full -time role, you’ll report directly to our Bench Validation Manager . Our Buffer Chip Validation Team is dedicated to ensuring the integrity and performance of Rambus’s cutting-edge memory interface chips through rigorous testing and validation , and your contributions will be instrumental in launching industry-leading products that redefine speed and efficiency in computer systems . Rambus offers a flexible work environment , embracing a hybrid approach for most office-based roles . E mployees are encouraged to spend an average of at least three days per week onsite , allowing for two days of remote work .

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering , Computer Engineering or related field.
• Fast learner with interest in hands-on lab work and writing software for lab automation.
• Must be a team player, work ing well with other lab engineers and circuit designers.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python) for data analysis and test automation.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of processor / memory system architecture.
• Understanding of high - speed interface concepts, including signal integrity.
• Working knowledge of test and measurement equipment, troubleshooting and debugging.
• Hands-on hardware experience with x86 computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Lab bring-up and validation of high-speed memory buffer semiconductor products.
• I mplement test methodologies for validating silicon designs against customer requirements and specifications.
• Create automation scripts for lab equipment control and data analysis using Python or similar languages.
• Support Applications Team in understanding and resolving customer issues.
• Work with silicon design teams to develop experiments, drive data collection, and present results analysis.
