The Validation Engineer will assist in the development, execution, and approval of all validation programs and lifecycle documentation, ensuring compliance with in-house specifications, standards, and procedures, while implementing industry best practices. This role involves participating in the creation of design specifications, user requirements, and functional specification requirements. The engineer will perform installation, operational, and performance qualification testing of equipment, including protocol development, execution, and report writing. They will represent the validation department in multi-disciplinary teams for production and laboratory equipment, handle investigations and corrective actions for deviations, and coordinate resolutions for deviated equipment or processes. The position requires providing technical assessments, communicating validation activities to clients and departments, supporting process development, and performing factory and site acceptance testing. Additionally, the role involves creating and managing metrics, performing various types of validation (temperature mapping, equipment, steam sterilization, cleaning), managing contractors, supporting engineering projects, developing technical competencies, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs) is key for implementing and optimizing validation and quality initiatives. The engineer must conduct business responsibly, complying with all state, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations, and maintain a comprehensive understanding of FDA, EU, and other regulatory agency requirements.
