About The Position

ALTEN Technology USA is an engineering company that partners with clients across industries including aerospace, medical devices, robotics, automotive, commercial vehicles, electric vehicles, and rail. The company is part of the global ALTEN Group. The Validation Engineer will support automotive feature and platform development by coordinating Customer Feature Objectives (CFOs), contributing to global feature strategies, and supporting project teams. The role includes competitive benchmarking and voice-of-customer clinics. Selected candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or Systems Engineering, or an equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
3 to 5 years of automotive experience.
Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical content to a non-technical audience.
Good project coordination skills.
Automotive systems background.
Knowledge of ISO 26262.
Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Knowledge of INCOSE requirements decomposition.

Nice To Haves

Master of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering, or an equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
Knowledge of IBM DOORS or similar ALM/PLM management tools.
Systems engineering experience.
Experience with system network topology diagrams.
Ability to understand problems from software, hardware, and field perspectives.
Knowledge of a functional domain, such as Body, Chassis, Electrical, or Interior.

Responsibilities

Create, update, and track Customer Feature Objectives (CFOs).
Analyze CFOs to ensure they align with project objectives and standards.
Work with cross-functional teams to develop and follow best practices and align on a global strategy for new features.
Support platform new-feature development.
Support program-specific new-feature development.
Conduct competitive benchmarking and voice-of-customer clinics to support the development process.
