Validation Engineer (Machine Test & Validation)
About The Position
The Validation Engineer will support testing and validation of large mining equipment. This role involves validating software and control system functionalities through system-level testing and executing requirements-based test validation. The engineer will work closely with mechanics, instrumentation technicians, and operators, and will be responsible for planning, executing, and documenting machine-level software testing. The position operates in a hybrid environment with 20% office work and 80% shop/field activities, requiring adherence to safety protocols and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities
- Support testing and validation of large mining equipment.
- Validate software and control system functionalities through system-level testing.
- Execute requirements-based test validation.
- Work closely with mechanics, instrumentation technicians, and operators.
- Plan, execute, and document machine-level software testing.
- Collaborate daily with engineers, mechanics, operators, instrumentation technicians, supply chain, and logistics teams.
- Work within a team comprising team leaders, senior engineers, and junior engineers.
- Follow safety requirements and use PPE, including boots, safety glasses, and uniforms.
