Validation Engineer Intern
About The Position
Jabil Design Services is seeking a Validation Engineer Intern to assist with setting up and screening customer server configurations. The intern will gain exposure to industry use cases while helping improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the JDS validation process. The internship provides hands-on experience with server hardware, firmware, operating systems, and infrastructure management, including switches and storage. Jabil’s Summer Internship Program includes opportunities to engage with company leaders and participate in professional development, networking, social, and community engagement events. Interns may collaborate on committees, receive a mentor, and tour Jabil facilities.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a major in IT, Computer Engineering/CET, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field.
- Be a rising junior, rising senior, or recent graduate.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of hardware components.
- Familiarity with UEFI and BMC.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows.
- Basic networking skills.
- Scripting skills, such as Python or Bash.
- Effective communication.
- Self-starter with the ability to drive work.
- Leadership skills including agility, building trusting relationships, decision-making, and resilience.
Responsibilities
- Install server hardware.

- Execute test cases.
- Report, track, and validate defects.
- Provide status reports.
