Requirements
- A professional demeanor, a welcoming personality, and the ability to engage easily and actively connect with others.
- Be genuinely caring and compassionate and visibly demonstrate a desire to understand others.
- Have strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to concerns of other employees and guests.
- Clean professional appearance.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred.
- The Valet role requires standing for long periods of time, or entire shifts.
- Walk, run, and move quickly between the hotel entrance and parking areas.
- Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 50 pounds without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance.
- Enter and exit various vehicle types repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times
- Greet guests promptly upon arrival and departure
- Assist guests with luggage as needed
- Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles in a timely manner
- Drive vehicles carefully and follow all traffic laws and company procedures
- Record vehicle information accurately and issue claim tickets
- Monitor and maintain an organized and safe parking area
- Communicate clearly with guests and team members to ensure smooth operations
- Respond quickly to guest questions and provide information about hotel services and local attractions
- Report any vehicle damage, safety concerns, or incidents immediately to management
- Follow company safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
- Protect company and guest assets
- Develop relationships with all departments and communicate regularly
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
