Requirements

  • A professional demeanor, a welcoming personality, and the ability to engage easily and actively connect with others.
  • Be genuinely caring and compassionate and visibly demonstrate a desire to understand others.
  • Have strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to concerns of other employees and guests.
  • Clean professional appearance.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred.
  • The Valet role requires standing for long periods of time, or entire shifts.
  • Walk, run, and move quickly between the hotel entrance and parking areas.
  • Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 50 pounds without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance.
  • Enter and exit various vehicle types repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times
  • Greet guests promptly upon arrival and departure
  • Assist guests with luggage as needed
  • Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles in a timely manner
  • Drive vehicles carefully and follow all traffic laws and company procedures
  • Record vehicle information accurately and issue claim tickets
  • Monitor and maintain an organized and safe parking area
  • Communicate clearly with guests and team members to ensure smooth operations
  • Respond quickly to guest questions and provide information about hotel services and local attractions
  • Report any vehicle damage, safety concerns, or incidents immediately to management
  • Follow company safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
  • Protect company and guest assets
  • Develop relationships with all departments and communicate regularly
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
