About The Position

The Valet position at MC: Hospitality Services delivers world-class customer service to patients, guests, visitors, physicians, and employees at LLUMC and LLUCH hospitals. The role involves greeting customers with genuine enthusiasm and professionalism upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcome and receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service. Key duties include ascertaining customer needs, answering questions, opening car doors, offering assistance, explaining valet services, giving directions, and providing escorts if needed. The Valet is responsible for safely parking and retrieving customer vehicles in a timely manner and collecting appropriate funds. This role requires an excellent personal presentation, good listening skills, and an outgoing and personable demeanor, all while representing Loma Linda University Health and its affiliated entities.

Requirements

  • Excellent personal presentation, maintaining a professional appearance and personal grooming
  • Good listening skills to understand exactly what the customer requires

  • Use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver world-class customer service that provides a superior experience for our patients, guests, visitors, physicians and employees
  • Greet each patient, visitor or guest as they arrive and welcomes them to the facility with genuine enthusiasm and professionalism
  • Ensure that all customers feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times
  • Contribute to the mission and vision by creating a positive, productive working environment
  • Always smile and maintain direct eye contact
  • Ascertain the customer's needs and answer any questions in a professional and courteous manner
  • Open car doors, offers a hand of assistance for those customers who need help, explains valet services, gives directions, and provides escort, if needed
  • Safely park vehicles in a designated valet parking spot
  • Safely retrieve customer vehicles in a timely manner
  • Collects and stores appropriate funds
  • Provide superior customer service while representing LLUMC and it's affiliated entities
  • Perform other duties as needed
