About The Position

Valet at Saint Kate – The Arts Hotel, a modern, luxury hotel in Milwaukee's Theater District. This role is responsible for welcoming guests and parking/retrieving vehicles safely and promptly, setting a positive tone for their stay. Saint Kate is part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts and celebrates uniqueness, creativity, culture, and connection.

Requirements

Must possess a valid driver’s license, two years of driving experience and a clean driving record.
Open Availability (Nights, Weekends)
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills to include the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English Language sufficiently to ascertain information from luggage tags and claim checks to write numbers and names on claim checks and rooming lists.
Ability to lift, push, pull and/or carry or otherwise move packages and boxes and luggage up to 100 lbs. continuously throughout shift.
Must be able to represent the company in a professional, well-groomed and courteous manner at all times.

Nice To Haves

Prior hospitality or valet experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome all guests, check-ins/outs, effectively resolve challenging guest requests and complaints.
Lift, carry, load luggage onto bell cart, read and match luggage tags, write claim tickets, and escort guests to their rooms with their items.
Park cars and ensure the front drive of hotel is guest ready at all times.
Represent the hotel with professionalism and decorum – including remaining calm and alert, especially during emergency and/or heavy hotel activity.
Attend all scheduled mandatory Guest Services Department meetings, trainings and hotel meetings.
Perform all other related duties and special projects as requested and/or assigned.
