Valet/Garage Attendant | The Lark (Part Time)
About The Position
The Lark is seeking a part-time Valet/Garage Attendant to join their team. This role involves providing exceptional guest experiences by assisting with luggage, offering information about hotel services and local attractions, inspecting guest rooms, and safely parking and retrieving guest vehicles. The attendant will also be responsible for delivering items, maintaining records, greeting guests, and ensuring the safety and security of the valet parking areas in all weather conditions. A key aspect of the role is maintaining the hotel's image through a presentable appearance and upholding the company's values-based culture.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-year customer service experience
- Strong verbal communication skills required
- Must have valid driver’s license
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years hotel experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Escorts incoming and outgoing guests to and from rooms, assists with luggage, and offers information pertaining to available services and facilities of hotel, points of interest, and entertainment attractions.
- Inspects guests room to ensure furnishings are in order and supplies are adequate.
- Explains features of room
- Parks and retrieves guest cars in a safe manner and in accordance with hotels standards.
- Delivers faxes, packages, suitcases, and trunks
- Keeps record of calls for service.
- Greets guests at front door or car upon arrival.
- Assists in de-icing of pavement, sidewalks, and other areas.
- Removes ice from guests’ windshields, provides umbrellas as necessary.
- Maintains the image of the hotel by appearing extremely presentable, well-groomed and in pressed uniform.
- Maintains safety and security of guests and team members at all times, and in all weather conditions in regard to the valet parking areas
