Requirements

  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work, or within a commutable distance from the state you are applying to work (as applicable)
  • One (1) month related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Ability to read and write standard English language
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s; ability to perform these operations using units of American money
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Perform parallel parking

Responsibilities

  • Parking and retrieving guest vehicles in a prompt yet safe manner.
  • Assisting guests with luggage, including delivery and pick up of guest luggage (where applicable) during arrival and departure.
  • Maintaining a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients.
  • Acknowledging and greeting guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Using guest last names during interactions.
  • Using salutation of the day and welcoming guests to the location.
  • Practicing proper Towne Park phone etiquette.
  • Posting up in designated areas when not completing tasks.
  • Parking and retrieving vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously.
  • Assisting guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed.
  • Opening all vehicle and hotel doors for guests.
  • Assisting guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries.
  • Providing guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area.
  • Delivering messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested.
  • Shuttling guests to appropriate places that are approved by the location.
  • Explaining parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival.
  • Issuing claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collecting claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys.
  • Consistently completing and maintaining all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt from all vehicles taken into the valet system.
  • Consistently completing location on all key tags after parking vehicle.
  • Calculating and collecting revenue for vehicles when needed.
