The Valet Attendant provides courteous, efficient, and safe valet service while safeguarding guest vehicles. The role creates a welcoming and professional guest experience by greeting guests, assisting with vehicle drop-off and retrieval, managing traffic flow, and responding to inquiries. Attendants are expected to follow company policies, operate vehicles carefully, handle keys appropriately, and contribute to smooth, high-quality parking operations. This active, fast-paced hospitality role involves working indoors and outdoors, often in varied weather, and interacting with guests, colleagues, vendors, and clients. The position requires a professional appearance, reliable attendance, flexibility to support hotel and guest needs, and the ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods. Employees may need to use personal cell phones for work-related communication and applications; reimbursement follows company policy. The position is non-exempt and pays an hourly rate plus tips. Valets can average $13.00–$20.00+ per hour after base pay and tips combined; rates vary by market, and tips depend on service performance and customer interactions. The position may be full-time or part-time, and employees are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked beyond 40 in a workweek.
