The Valet Attendant role is located at Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay in Miami, Florida, and pays $15.00 per hour plus tips. The position involves providing guests with professional valet service in a fast-paced environment. Employees receive full reimbursement for their annual Key Biscayne SunPass after 30 days of employment and meals on every shift.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Valet Attendant is required.
- A valid state driver’s license with a current address and an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to read, write, and respond professionally to customers and co-workers.
- Basic ability to handle U.S. currency, including addition and subtraction, and understand instructions or memos.
- Must provide valid documentation to work legally in the United States if hired.
- Ability to follow instructions and remain calm during changes, delays, or unexpected events.
- Must be able to stand and walk regularly and use hands to handle cash and equipment for long periods.
- Must occasionally be able to sit, climb, or balance.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Must remain alert and professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible schedule to work special shifts as needed, including second shift, third shift, and/or weekends.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to drive a manual transmission (stick shift) is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
- Resolve guest requests and concerns efficiently, using creative solutions when problems arise.
- Provide guests with directions using knowledge of local streets, landmarks, and freeways.
- Clearly explain valet rates and procedures to customers.
- Inspect vehicles before parking them and note and report any findings.
- Follow traffic laws and safe driving practices at all times.
- Immediately report accidents, safety hazards, and policy violations to management.
- Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and ready to work.
- Maintain a clean, complete uniform throughout the shift.
- Assist management with additional duties as assigned to support smooth operations.
