The Cypress Club of Hilton Head is recruiting for the position of Valet Attendant. As a Valet Attendant, you will be responsible for delivering first-class customer service to guests in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner. The Valet Attendant is responsible for assisting arriving and departing guests by opening and closing doors, parking and securing vehicles, unloading luggage, and retrieving vehicles in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Must be available to work outside in all kinds of weather, as parking does not stop when it rains, snows, is too hot or too cold.
  • Providing excellent guest service is a must!
  • Must be available to work flexible schedules, weekends, and holidays.
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential!
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in English; verbal and written.
  • Exceptional guest service skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have a Valid Driver's License and 3 years of driving experience.
  • Ability to complete and pass pre-employment background, drug, and MVR screen.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull objects up to 50 pounds with reasonable accommodation, and exhibit a full range of motion including standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, and crouching.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and occasionally run.
  • Ability to run up and down multiple levels of stairs.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Valid Driver's License combined with an acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of maintenance experience in a residential apartment complex, commercial building construction or maintenance.
  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver first-class customer service to guests in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner.
  • Assist arriving and departing guests by opening and closing doors, parking and securing vehicles, unloading luggage, and retrieving vehicles in a timely manner.
  • Extend the initial friendly welcome to the hotel guests.
  • Lift up to 50lbs when helping take suitcases in and out of vehicles.
  • Run, stand for long periods of time, and go up and down stairs within parking garages.
  • Be personable and comfortable talking with guests as you help them through the valet check-in process.
  • Report any unsafe conditions to the supervisor immediately.
  • Participate in all drills and in-service education as assigned.
  • Respond to facility emergencies as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
