About The Position

Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis seeks a Valet Attendant to join their talented team. This role is responsible for creating a strong sense of arrival for hotel, restaurant, and banquet guests by welcoming them and safely parking their cars. The Valet Attendant will also assist the Door Attendants, ensure timely retrieval of guest vehicles, and provide a positive departure experience. The role involves interacting with guests, providing information about the city, and potentially driving guests within a 3-mile radius as part of the House Car program. The position requires maintaining a professional demeanor, completing all necessary ticket and vehicle information, and handling revenue collection when needed. The Valet Attendant must comply with Four Seasons' work rules and standards and work harmoniously with colleagues and management.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in Valet is required
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to drive all types of vehicles, including manual stick
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and be able to pass a driving background check
  • Ability to work outside for majority of shift and be mobile/standing for 100% of shift
  • Ability to push and pull luggage carts with weight up to 200 pounds.
  • Ability to lift or carry luggage/ boxes up to 100 pounds
  • Must have flexibility in availability to work according to business volume
  • A passion for hospitality and a desire to be the best!
  • Candidates must have valid work authorization for the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests who arrive by opening their car door and welcoming them to the hotel, and assist in their arrival experience
  • Retrieve valet cars for guests departing from the hotel, assisting with luggage, car door and their departure experience
  • Issue appropriate valet parking ticket to guests who want car parked
  • Assist guest with unloading luggage from the car, and subsequently guide hotel guests to the Front Desk for Check-in
  • Offer services to transport luggage to the room and/or escort guest to their rooms
  • Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • Greet and open hotel doors for all guests and local patrons arriving on foot
  • Station and hold hotel entrance doors for guest arriving and departing to and from the hotel
  • Assure the smooth flow of traffic on the drive by directing guest cars and taxis to the appropriate positions and directing valet parkers to park cars
  • Provide guest with directions, recommendations and information about the city and its attractions
  • Arrange taxis as needed for guest
  • Handle all guest interaction with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible
  • Resolve guest complaints, and assist guests in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, the local area, and in house events
  • Drive guest to their destination of choice within a 3 mile radius as part of the Four Seasons Minneapolis House Car program
  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients.
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt from all vehicles taken into the valet system.
  • Consistently complete location on all key tags after parking vehicle.
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
  • Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers, supervisors and management.
