About The Position

The successful candidate will work as part of the SPS production group vacuum processing, leak checking and measuring various components and systems. The types of equipment are as follows: gas / vacuum control and handling equipment, cryogenic equipment, and various equipment used in the production of SPS products. Knowledge of vacuum systems and related vacuum components is required. Day-to-day activities of this position include set up and breakdown of systems/product, preventive maintenance, unplanned maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment/product issues. Long-term projects include equipment upgrades and implementation.

Requirements

• Knowledge of machine assembly, vacuum, component level troubleshooting and wiring required.
• Must be able to follow written policies, procedures, and/or work instructions to complete critical vacuum processing, leak check, and critical measurement activities.
• AS degree in relatable field and/or 5 – 10 years of demonstrated relevant manufacturing experience.
• Must have experience in troubleshooting and maintaining vacuum equipment in a manufacturing facility.
• High school education required.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques.
• Strong understanding of quality improvement techniques applied in a production / manufacturing environment.
• Self-starter and independent working attributes are essential.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with MS Office software, including Excel, Word, and MS Project.
• Must be a team player!

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of vacuum roughing pumps, blowers, turbo pumps, cryogenic vacuum pumps and vacuum sensors used in manufacturing and production equipment is preferred.
