About The Position

This role is part of a team dedicated to ensuring guests at Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort have a memorable stay in clean, safe homes and villas that exceed expectations. The inspector will contribute to the Resort's success by maintaining the cleanliness and quality of all rental units, with a primary focus on guest care and impact.

Requirements

  • Must be well organized, detail oriented, self-motivated and able to handle multiple tasks and meet appropriate deadlines.
  • Ability to learn quickly and retain knowledge to acquire skills and maintain technical competencies.
  • Must have residential WiFi and TV knowledge of different providers.
  • Must be able to communicate orally with team members, co-workers, employees, contractors and guests to obtain and provide useful information.
  • Must be able to be on your feet and climb stairs throughout the day.
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge of housekeeping and guest service.
  • Use of personal vehicle is mandatory.

  • Some general maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the cleanliness of the resort's homes and villas exceeds expectations.
  • Leave guests with a "WOW" story about their experience during interactions.
  • Share customer impact stories with the team and management.
  • Conduct regular inspections prior to guest and owner arrivals to ensure units are clean and ready, performing touch-ups where needed.
  • Check that units' WiFi and TVs are properly functioning.
  • Conduct departure and vacant inspections.
  • Report all safety issues and secure all locations for safety.
  • Communicate unit status and/or issues with management.
  • Perform light home maintenance (e.g., changing light bulbs, fixing door hinges).
  • Ensure the integrity of every rental unit, addressing issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist with guest needs (e.g., WiFi/TV issues, delivering requested items to units).
  • Oversee special projects as requested and/or needed by the Director of Property Management, Housekeeping Manager, or General Maintenance Manager.
  • Assist in the facilitation of the check-in and checkout communication process with the front desk.
  • Help maintain up-to-date annual evaluations of the rental units.
  • Meet outside contractors / vendors as needed.
  • Multitask and handle a variety of projects as directed.
