About The Position

Goldfarb Properties, a privately owned and leading New York Real Estate Management Company that has been in business for over 50 years is seeking an experienced Vacation Doorman/Porter Relief Doorman (Seasonal Union Position) for our Manhattan locations. The ideal candidate will be an outgoing, high energy, customer service driven person who has a sincere interest in helping others and projects a warm, eager to please mindset that makes residents/guests feel special. Under the supervision of the General Manager, Facilities Manager and/or Superintendent:

Requirements

Good communication skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule including Holidays, Overnight and Weekends
Have a "can do, whatever it takes" attitude with strong follow-up skills
Adhere to professional dress code requirements
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Attention to detail is a must

Nice To Haves

Previous experience using BuildingLink and KeyLink is plus
Ability to strip and wax floors is a plus
Bilingual (Spanish/English a plus)

Responsibilities

Project an approachable and professional image in personal appearance, manner, and demeanor.
Ensure Building security and safety for tenants to include guest registration (check identification, announce visitors and deliveries).
Acknowledge and greet all residents and guests with courtesy and urgency.
Report incidents of a serious nature to the superintendent on duty.
Maintain key log and all applicable data sheets.
Assist with package deliveries.
Answer the lobby phone and respond to calls accordingly.
Manage general cleanliness of assigned work areas
Perform trash removal and operate trash compactor
