About The Position
Welding steel structural parts as specified per drawing or print. Operating grinder to prepare and finish welds. Operating flip rite. Operating transfers. Operating magnetic drill. Full visual inspection of part ensuring all welds are in place and properly applied. Effectively communicating with upstream and downstream to address safety, quality and efficiency issues/concerns. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Requirements
- WQ1 (2G) weld certification
Nice To Haves
- Can read and understand weld symbols
- Can use an arc gouger
- Previous crane certification
- Previous experience in material handling
