About The Position

Nous sommes à la recherche d'un vérificateur interne ayant de l’expérience afin d’offrir à la direction une assurance objective et indépendante que nos mesures de contrôle et nos pratiques liées aux politiques au sein du groupe sont conçues et fonctionnent de façon efficace et efficiente. Le vérificateur interne travaillera avec les responsables de processus d'affaires et les employés pour appuyer les mesures de contrôle clés dans l'ensemble de l'organisation afin de planifier et d'exécuter des programmes de vérification tout en maintenant des communications et des relations respectueuses et efficaces avec la direction et les départements subissant un examen.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education with a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and a CPA, CA designation (preferred)
  • In addition to the above designation, a CIA or CISA designation would be an asset
  • Experience in process evaluation would be an asset
  • 3+ years of experience in internal or external audit
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
  • Security-conscious with excellent business reporting skills
  • Attention to detail, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • High level of integrity and initiative with strong business and financial acumen
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self-motivated and well-organized with the ability to manage multiple and often conflicting priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong computer literacy with knowledge of IT and financial systems operations or IT auditing, including SAP, will be an advantage
  • Willing and able to travel (30-40%) and work a flexible schedule in support of business needs
  • Valid driver's license and driver's record in good standing

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate safe and environmentally responsible work behaviors at all times in support of Toromont's Health and Safety policies, programs and initiatives.
  • Conducts audits of business units across the organization in accordance with the Company's audit framework and methodology and generally accepted auditing standards.
  • Review, evaluate and document internal control systems and compliance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to processes and controls for management by communicating and reporting effectively.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of audit programs.
  • Provide and present audit findings in a clear, concise and timely manner to the appropriate levels of management.
  • Assist senior auditors with approaches to address gaps in controls.
  • Maintain working papers in accordance with NI-52-109 guidelines.
  • Assists the Manager/Director of Internal Audit with the execution of special projects and consulting assignments
