About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced V-22 Field Service Representative to support V-22 customer operations at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Iwakuni, Japan. This is a long-term assignment with a minimum duration of 3 years, and relocation/assignment benefits will be provided. The position will initially start in MCAS New River Jacksonville, North Carolina, with potential for international short-term travel to other V-22 operational locations. Employees in Field Operations must be willing and able to travel to various domestic and international locations, potentially on short notice, and may be required to relocate based on customer or management needs. Some contracts may require deployment to US DOD contingency operations, necessitating the ability to pass military contractor health standards. The selected candidate will be required to work 100% onsite at MCAS Iwakuni, Japan, and must be able to obtain a work visa and meet cultural requirements of the country. Employment is contingent upon satisfying labor and immigration formalities, obtaining clearances from International Health Services, and securing a visa/work permit. These contingencies also apply to any family members relocating with the candidate. Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace.

Requirements

  • Must possess a working knowledge of CMV-22 structural, dynamic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems.
  • Must be familiar with reading and interpreting Boeing engineering drawings.
  • Should be familiar with the customer aviation maintenance programs and skilled in the use of CMV-22 IETMS.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, and Power Point).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required as well as a thorough understanding of Boeing internal Support Engineering processes and procedures.
  • Proficient at Naval Aviation Logistics Command Information System for the Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity (NALCOMIS OOMA).
  • In-depth knowledge of Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) requirements.
  • Minimum 3 years of previous aircraft maintenance experience.
  • At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able (on potentially short notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work.
  • At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able to relocate to a variety of locations (domestic and international) to meet customer needs and the statement of work.
  • Must be able to obtain a work visa, depending on requirements of the country.
  • Candidate must be able to meet the cultural requirements of the country, as applicable.
  • The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at MCAS Iwakuni, Japan.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Proposes changes and improvements to existing procedures through approved review processes.
  • Interfaces directly with senior customer personnel as the primary technical contact on significant issues requiring multiple solutions and coordination across company and customer organizations.
  • Coordinate efficient and economical maintenance operations by providing technical assistance to guide personnel during maintenance and troubleshooting of V-22 aircraft and systems.
  • Must be adaptable to the customer's rapidly changing operational priorities and display the initiative to provide technical training and advice under austere and stressful conditions.
  • The ability to travel to both domestic and international locations is required.
  • Must be able to deploy to austere and possibly hostile OCONUS environments for extended periods to meet customer requirements.
