About The Position

CACI is seeking TS/SCI Poly-cleared candidates for Uzbek & Russian (must have both) language professionals to join our prime contract supporting government operations in Fairfax, VA. This is a Travel Only Role. You will be deployed for 4 to 8 weeks' at a time and back for 4 to 8 week's.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen
• Active TS/SCI Clearance with adjudicated Polygraph
• Ability to pass an advanced English test
• Ability to score ILR Level 3 or higher on target language translation test
• Ability to deploy - active passport - this is a Travel Only Role
• Minimum five (5) years’ professional experience conducting translation, transcription, translation, and/or interpretation
• In-depth knowledge of the geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural components of target language geographical areas
• Master use of MS Office and internet research

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Previous military experience
• Has good understanding of one or more regional dialects
• Consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation abilities

Responsibilities

• Accurately translate report/texts in electronic and hard-copy formats that not only contain facts, but also some abstract language showing an ability to capture intended implications and many nuances
• Ability to capture geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements in text
• Interpretation -Able to interpret accurately. The ability to consecutive interpretation is needed, but on rare occasions simultaneous interpretation maybe required.
• Has a good understanding of one of more regional dialects.
• Ability to identify and accurately summarize factual points as well as abstract concepts.
• Must possess computer skills: including MS Office, to be able to produce written translations and products sufficient internet skills that will allow basic research on the Web
• Excellent English-language skills verbal communication skills to present briefings
• Transcription - Review audio or internet materials, transcribes with high degree of accuracy and expression.
• Candidate needs to posses excellent English-language written communication skills for preparing reports.
