About The Position

USA Environmental is seeking two UXO Technician III/Divers for a dive project at Dam Neck Annex in Virginia Beach, VA. The project focuses on underwater MEC Removal and is scheduled from June 1, 2026, to June 13, 2026.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen unless an exception is approved by the U.S. Government.
  • Possess a valid state driver’s license.
  • Ability to safely handle assigned vehicles on and around the site.
  • Graduate of a military EOD School (U.S., Canada, Great Britain, Germany, or Australia) or a UXO-TI Course or the EOD assistant’s course.
  • Completed on-the-job training, including familiarity with processes, procedures, and equipment (e.g., geophysical) for MEC-related activities.
  • Must not have been previously removed from a MEC assignment due to personnel reliability issues or unsatisfactory performance, as substantiated by official documentation.
  • Graduate of an OSHA-compliant (29 CFR 1910.120(e)(4)) 8-hour Management and Supervisor Training Course.
  • Eight or more years of documented experience in performing range clearance operations. This can be a combination of active duty military EOD experience and contractor MEC experience.
  • At least one year of MEC-related experience is required if the individual is a graduate of EOD school.
  • Credit for EOD experience in National Guard or Reserve Units will be based on documented active duty time, not total service time.

Responsibilities

  • Perform underwater MEC Removal.
