About The Position

mthree is seeking a UX Designer / UX Researcher to join a client's team in New York City. The role supports complex, data-rich products and workflows across multiple business areas and emphasizes research, journey mapping, and problem-solving. It is not primarily a front-end development role. The position involves understanding user needs, mapping workflows, designing and prototyping experiences, and improving solutions through user feedback in collaboration with business, technology, and product stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience in UX Design, UX Research, Product Design, or Interaction Design.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design.
• Experience with research, journey mapping, prototyping, and usability testing.
• Comfort working with complex products, large amounts of data, and broad ecosystems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; the company will not sponsor work visas.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with complex enterprise applications or environments.
• Experience with data-intensive or internal applications.
• Exposure to React, Angular, or functional prototyping.
• Exposure to AI-enabled products or UX workflows.
• Coding experience; not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research and identify user needs and pain points.
• Map end-to-end user journeys, workflows, and user flows.
• Translate requirements into clear, intuitive user experiences.
• Create wireframes, concepts, and prototypes.
• Test and refine solutions based on user feedback.
• Collaborate with business, technology, and product stakeholders.
