About The Position
Proactively monitor utilization of services for patients to optimize reimbursement for the facility. This position requires a thorough understanding of the facility’s treatment program and philosophy and a working knowledge of various aspects of alcoholism and drug abuse. This individual must have an ability to coordinate the facility’s utilization review process for an assigned caseload. This individual must be able to work professionally with managed care companies to certify benefits for patient treatment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience in the substance abuse field.
- Specialized training or knowledge in chemical dependency treatment.
- Ability to work with male and female, adult (18-over) substance abuse/dually diagnosed population.
- CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training offered by facility).
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the facility’s utilization review process for an assigned caseload.
- Work professionally with managed care companies to certify benefits for patient treatment.
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
