About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehab centers with eighteen locations across seven states, offering highly individualized treatment across every level of care, including detox, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient services. The company emphasizes its people and premier clinical program as keys to its success in transforming lives. The Utilization Review Specialist will join the corporate NJ Team, collaborating with Avenues Recovery facilities on Utilization Review (UR) to ensure all clients are authorized for treatment at the appropriate level of care in a timely manner. This role also ensures quality and comprehensive charting of all services through collaborative communication with facility leadership.

• Valid CPR certification and First Aid

Nice To Haves

• Nursing degree/knowledge in healthcare preferred

Responsibilities

• Fielding incoming calls, emails and other correspondence relating to new clients that require Authorization
• Working closely with the Avenues Recovery billing team to properly coordinate and flag potential issues that may arise
• Assist staff with creating uniformed templates and processes that can be used at all Avenues facilities
• Work with site administrators to ensure that proper templates and processes are being implemented
• Manage a client caseload and Coordinate with treatment team to assess and advocate for continued stay at recommended level of care
• Documenting and maintaining electronic records related to all UR correspondence and authorization by utilizing internal computer software
