About The Position

Glen Oaks Hospital is a 54-bed private mental health hospital in a relaxed setting in Greenville, Texas. For over 30 years, Glen Oaks Hospital has been a leader in the field of mental health and chemical dependency care, and our staff is dedicated to researching the latest treatment approaches and applying this to our overall treatment philosophy. The UR Coordinator contacts external case managers/managed care organizations for certification and recertification of insurance benefits throughout the patient’s stay, and will assist the treatment team in understanding the insurance company’s requirements for continued stay and discharge planning. The UR Coordinator is responsible for having a thorough understanding of the patient’s treatment through communication with the treatment team. The UR Coordinator advocates for the patient’s access to services during treatment team meetings and through individual physician contact. The UR Coordinator attends treatment team meetings and continued stay reviews as indicated.

Requirements

  • CPR certification
  • Handle with Care training within 30 days of employment
  • Verbal De-Escalation training within 30 days of employment

Nice To Haves

  • A degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health, nursing, or related degree.
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a healthcare setting or managed care company, with experience in patient assessment, treatment planning, utilization management, and/or case management.
  • R.N. LVN, L.M.S.W., LPC, or other healthcare-related licensure.
