Utilization Review Coordinator-Psychiatric Units
About The Position
Roxbury Treatment Center is recruiting a dedicated, detail-oriented clinician to work with staff treatment teams on acute psychiatric units to obtain continuing care for patients. The position supports continuity of care and discharge planning, utilization review tracking, denial processes, transitions between levels of care, and documentation requirements. The schedule is Monday through Friday on the day shift. The role qualifies for a $2,500 sign-on bonus. Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., is a 112-bed behavioral health facility in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. It provides acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults, as well as an adolescent inpatient psychiatric program for youth ages 13–17. The organization also operates two substance use disorder outpatient offices in Carlisle and Chambersburg.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or above from an accredited college, with a major in Psychology or another related field that includes a practicum in a health or human service agency, preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Psychology or another related field and two years of experience in a health or human services agency; required for this qualification pathway.
- Alternatively, current licensure in Pennsylvania as a nurse, a degree from an accredited school of nursing, and two years of experience in a behavioral health treatment setting.

Responsibilities
- Maintain ongoing direct contact with the attending practitioner, treatment coordinator, and other treatment team members to support continuity of care and discharge planning.
- Ensure proper tracking of utilization reviews and initiate the denial process as necessary.
- Assist in coordinating transitions between levels of care.
- Communicate and ensure proper documentation requirements.
