About The Position

Bitterroot Health is seeking candidates to fill a Utilization Review Coordinator RN position in Hamilton, Montana. The UR Coordinator ensures patients receive the appropriate treatment using available hospital resources. This role involves organizing and facilitating daily UR activities for all inpatients and observation patients. Key duties include initial and ongoing contact with payers to update them on the patient's clinical situation. The UR Coordinator will act as a resource for clinicians regarding patient placement in the correct medical service and assist Case Managers and Social Workers with discharge planning. They will also serve as a patient advocate, answering patient questions, and issuing ABN and code 44 forms when necessary. The position requires attendance at quarterly MR/UR Committee meetings to provide recommendations and feedback on appropriate patient status and to educate clinical staff.

Requirements

• RN Licensure in the State of MT or CCS, CCS-P, CPC, or CPC-H, RHIT, or RHIA

Nice To Haves

• RN Case Management or Coding experience preferred.
• Prior experience in the medical field related to Case Management, coding and/or billing preferred.
• UR experience preferred.

Responsibilities
