Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two or more years’ experience in obtaining insurance authorizations in a medical setting, and/or other relevant clerical or case management work in a medical office setting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook required
  • Valid state Driver’s License for travel to satellite offices and offsite meetings.
  • Compliance with the company Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Medial Assistant or equivalent preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Review and coordinate the authorization process for any services that require an authorization per payer guidelines.
  • Coordinates, tracks and documents all authorizations electronically.
  • Manage oral and/or written communication related to authorization activity as appropriate.
  • Provides coverage for schedules and pending cases for all payer groups as assigned. Must have strong knowledge of various payer guidelines for authorizations and have the ability to flex to all payer groups.
