About The Position

The Utility role performs a variety of manual labor tasks, assists with material handling, and is responsible for accurately cutting metal materials to customer specifications using industrial saws. To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily. Requirements

Minimum 3 to 6 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination
Familiarity with use of a computer and applications.
Forklift certified, or ability to become certified in forklift operation
Routinely required to stand and walk; use hands to handle and feel; reach with arms and hands; as well as climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Routinely performs repetitive movements such as bending, twisting, reaching, lifting and pulling
Routinely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds
Specific vision requirements include depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to wear all necessary safety equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform general labor and support tasks including material movement, shop cleanup, and equipment maintenance.
Set up and operate industrial saws to cut metal stock (e.g., steel, aluminum) according to work orders and customer specifications.
Assist with loading and unloading materials using forklifts, pallet jacks.
Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to meet daily workflow and delivery schedules.
Load trucks as needed, including material handling, packing, wrapping, and routing of shipments.
Must be able to apply mathematical concepts in order to: read a tape measure and calipers, comprehend decimals and fractions, perform other calculations.
Must have working knowledge of using and understanding to use hand tools such as Allen wrench, screwdriver, and others to switch out saw blades.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
