About The Position

The Utility Yard Jockey is responsible for accurately, safely, and efficiently washing, moving, maintaining, and using tractor-trailers. This role involves performing tractor and trailer movements to local pickup, delivery, and yard locations as dictated by business needs. The position requires the ability to work independently in all seasonal weather conditions while maintaining a clean work area and accurate records.

Requirements

• Ability to lift/lower and push/pull up to 70 lbs while working within the yard
• Current CDL and medical card (assistance available for obtaining a CDL)
• Flexibility to meet the needs of the business
• A positive attitude and reliability

Responsibilities

• Safely perform tractor and trailer movement to local pickup, delivery, and yard movements that are dictated by the needs of the business
• Wash trailers in the yard
• Maintain accurate records using existing systems in place
• Maintain a broom-clean work area free of slip/fall risks
• Keep tools and equipment clean
