As a Sorting Utility Worker, you'll be part of our team located in Montpelier, IN. You’ll get to: Monitor quality visually and with appropriate test and/or gauges. Box, label and palletize parts. Keep pallets stacked ready to use. Remove finished products with a PIV. Perform basic adjustments to machines, removing blockages, cleaning dials and removing rejected parts. Ability to distinguish good/bad parts via provided samples from quality. Keep returnable containers cleaned of old labels, parts and trash. Clean all machines between jobs, removing excess dirt, wax, and missing parts. Able to work in other areas/depts. when assigned. Inform supervisor or set up operator when machine needs adjustments/repair. Inform Supervisor or set up operator when you are showing a higher-than-normal reject count. Load machines as needed to keep running, creating the appropriate labels in AS400. Completing necessary data entry on each lot showing, lot number, part number, number of rejects and reason for the rejects. Follow proper housekeeping procedures according to company guidelines. Ability to work overtime as needed. Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

Basic mathematical understanding and ability (add, subtract, divide units of measurement)
Apply common sense understanding to carry out work instructions written, oral or diagrammatic form
Must read at a level to comprehend instructions and labels
