About The Position

MV Transportation is seeking a Utility/Bus Washer/Fueler/Bus Stop Cleaning & Maintenance professional. A successful candidate will ensure that the fleet is fully prepared for service and that bus stops are cleaned and maintained. This role involves fueling and fluid checks for vehicles, cleaning interiors and exteriors, operating buses and service vehicles safely, documenting fleet damage, and cleaning/maintaining bus shelters. Light maintenance tasks at shelters, such as graffiti removal and debris pickup, are also part of the responsibilities. The position requires a varied schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Must be able to work a varied schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Must be 21 with a good driving record.
• Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver License (CDL) with all required endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all vehicles are fully fueled and fluids topped off, ready for service at various times of day.
• Interiors and exteriors cleaned according to contract.
• Safely operate buses and service vehicles within the yard and designated areas while adhering to all safety protocols.
• All fleet damage is documented and communicated to appropriate personnel in the case of unreported damage.
• Clean and maintain all City of Petaluma bus shelters, including removing trash, wiping surfaces, cleaning glass panels, and ensuring shelters and bus stops remain safe, sanitary, and welcoming for the passengers.
• Perform light maintenance tasks at shelters, such as graffiti removal and debris pickup.
• Operate a tow-behind steam cleaner.
• Other duties as assigned.
