Utility Worker
About The Position
Transdev in Palo Alto, CA is hiring a Utility Worker. The Utility Worker reports to the Maintenance Manager and is required to perform facility and vehicle servicing duties to support the operation. We are looking for customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class C driver's license for a minimum of 3 years
- Must be able to work 3rd shift and/or flexible work schedule, as needed.
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
- Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.).
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Nice To Haves
- Valid CDL Class A or B; with airbrake endorsement (CDL training and certification can be provided after hire)
Responsibilities
- Support the operations team by moving, fueling, preparing, and maintaining the fleet of vehicles used to provide service - daily.
- Perform light maintenance to frequented work areas, fueling stations, and related facilities so that they remain clean, tidy, & ready-for-use.
- Maintain accurate records of audited driver logs, yard-counts, & mileage odometer readings on a frequent basis.
- Communication; reporting any 3rd shift/overnight fleet concerns to the daytime managers.
- Cleaning vehicles interior and exterior.
- Other duties as required and assigned.
