About The Position

The Utility Worker is responsible for loading and unloading of raw material/finished product as well as cleanliness of plant and equipment. This role involves using a high-pressure hose to wash various areas, operating company vehicles, checking raw material loads, performing general labor and janitorial tasks, and maintaining safety standards. The position also requires learning to operate specific machinery such as cookers, boilers, waste water systems, and grease department equipment, as well as driving skid steers and forklifts.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Able to follow oral and written directions.

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Uses high pressure hose to wash parking lot, plant equipment, and surrounding areas of plant including spilled material on lot.
• Operates company vehicles around plant and property.
• Checks and reports condition of raw material load and truck interior.
• Performs a variety of general labor tasks including janitorial cleaning and vehicle washing.
• Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
• Must learn how to run cooker, run boilers and waste water, run grease department and drive skid steers and forklifts.
• All other duties as assigned.
