About The Position

The Utility Worker will be responsible for maintaining facility cleanliness, assisting with equipment operation and repairs, managing inventory, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting production tasks in a plywood manufacturing environment. This role requires physical stamina, basic mechanical aptitude, and a strong understanding of safety regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Physical stamina for lifting, standing, crouching, and working in various environmental conditions
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial tools and equipment
• Knowledge of safety regulations and proper handling of chemicals
• Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team, and communicate effectively

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or utility work is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain production areas, storage spaces, and surrounding grounds to ensure a safe and organized environment.
• Assist in operating machinery, move raw materials and finished plywood products, and perform minor repairs on production equipment.
• Stock supplies, manage materials, and transport items between workstations or storage areas.
• Follow all safety protocols, report hazards, and ensure proper handling of chemicals, adhesives, and other industrial materials used in plywood production.
• Support skilled operators in cutting, sanding, or assembling plywood sheets, and help with quality inspections.
• Maintain logs of completed maintenance, repairs, and safety checks.
