About The Position

Performs skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled tasks to assist in the repair and installation of underground utility lines. This role involves operating various heavy equipment, repairing streets and landscaping, servicing equipment, and collaborating with other maintenance crews as needed. The position emphasizes worker safety and adherence to guidelines and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License with a Class B CDL endorsement.
• Ability to obtain a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement within six months.
• Class I Wastewater Collection System Certification issued by the Ohio EPA must be obtained within two years of employment.
• Proficient skills in the use of tools used in the repair and installation of underground utility lines.

Nice To Haves

• Credit for military service will be given once proof of satisfactory service is received at the time of application therefore you will need to upload your DD214 for review.

Responsibilities

• Operates backhoe, dump truck, jackhammer, water main tapping machine, and line pushing machine.
• Checks lift station and operates flood control.
• Repairs streets and landscaping to original condition after work is completed.
• Services and performs maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Works with Sewer Maintenance crews as needed.
• Maintains an awareness of worker safety guidelines and procedures and applies these in performing daily activities and tasks.
