About The Position

The City of Pasadena is seeking two Utility Workers for the Water Distribution department. This role involves working collaboratively with team members on the installation and repair of water lines, fire hydrants, and valves. Responsibilities also include installing new meters and taps. The position requires the employee to maintain all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and job requirements without interruption, adhere to the assigned schedule, and comply with the City's timekeeping and attendance policy.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• One year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Texas driver's license and good driving record
• Must have and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements
• Moderate to heavy lifting and carrying
• Kneeling, crouching and bending
• Pushing, pulling and reaching
• Standing for prolonged periods of time

Responsibilities

• Installing water lines
• Repairing water lines, fire hydrants, and valves
• Installing new meters and taps
• Working with co-workers as a team
• Maintaining all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements
• Working the assigned schedule
• Complying with the City's timekeeping and attendance policy
