The Utility Worker – Fryer supports Prime, Specialty, and Batter production lines by relieving operators, performing sanitation duties, assisting with equipment changeovers, and managing waste totes. The role also maintains lab equipment, follows safety and quality protocols, and requires certification in multiple operator positions, forklift operation, and chemical handling. Moderate skill, initiative, care for equipment safety, and independence are essential for this position. Your day-to-day may consist of: Monitors production areas and assists operators during breaks or changeovers, including batter handling and equipment setup. Performs daily sanitation tasks, maintains cleanliness, and participates in factory clean-ups. Manages waste totes by transporting, cleaning, inserting liners, and entering data. Maintains lab equipment, completes forklift checklists, and supports quality process initiatives. Promotes and adheres to company safety regulations while keeping the work area neat and orderly. This role works in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to loud noises, strong odors, temperature fluctuations, moving machinery, wet or humid conditions, hazardous chemicals, high or confined areas, extreme temperatures, and vibration throughout various facility areas. This role also regularly engages in prolonged standing, walking, communicating, and sensory tasks throughout each shift, while frequently handling objects, climbing, balancing, and performing various physical movements such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as part of job duties. The use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus is required.
