Utility Washbay Worker - Cedar Rapids, IA
About The Position
This is a full-time, hourly position. The role involves washing trailers inside and out, washing tractor exteriors, general cleaning, and housekeeping. The worker will also operate tractor-trailers to destinations throughout the lot and perform general housekeeping duties as needed. The job requires lifting, bending, ascending and descending stairs and ladders, pushing, and pulling. Specific tasks include manually brushing trailer exteriors, manually washing tractor exteriors, performing permit-required confined space entries, driving tractors, operating Allen Bradley redi-panels and computers, and emptying trash barrels.
Requirements
- Commitment to ADM’s goal of achieving a zero injury culture; understand and follow company safety procedures
- Able to meet physical requirements of position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc), lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Tractor trailer experience, including backing experience preferred
- Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in team setting when needed.
- Exhibit regular and prompt attendance
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Past experience working in an industrial setting preferred.
- Successful completion of a background check.
