About The Position

Cardinal FG, a float glass manufacturer for residential windows in Portage, is looking for a Utility Technician who works safely, has a strong work ethic, is dependable, has a positive attitude, and works effectively in a team environment. A Utility Technician typically operates a robotic offline cutting system, drives powered industrial vehicles to move racks and sets-up racks for packaging glass to our customers. A Utility Technician is mainly scheduled to work Monday to Friday from 7am to 4pm, occasional weekends depending on production needs.

Requirements

Tape measure reading and basic math skills needed
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Desire to work in a team environment
Must be 18 years of age to apply
Able to safely lift at least 50 pounds
Pass a pre-employment physical ability test and drug screen

Responsibilities

Operates a robotic offline cutting system
Drives powered industrial vehicles to move racks
Sets-up racks for packaging glass to our customers
