About The Position

Utility Technicians play a crucial role in protecting customers' properties from wood-destroying organisms. As a Termite Technician, you are the first line of defense in preserving and safeguarding customers' properties. The inspections, prevention, and treatment services that you provide will create peace of mind and comfort for our customers. This role requires the ability to identify customer's termite problems, understand termite behaviors and habits to determine remedial steps, and perform treatments safely and according to company guidelines. You will also communicate critical conditions to customers, discuss procedures, and ensure job specifications are appropriate for each work order. The position involves operating and maintaining service vehicles and equipment, completing production forms, and interacting with customers.

Requirements

  • Clean shaven face- for safety reasons (rebreathers have to be able to seal your face)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence
  • At least 1 years of customer service
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Be flexible with working hours, Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed
  • Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations
  • Basic math skills — add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to follow instructions for mixing on product labels.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in termite control is a plus
  • General laborer, carpentry, cement, roofing, gutter and attic experience is plus

Responsibilities

  • Identify customer’s termite problems and have knowledge of termite behaviors and habits to determine remedial steps
  • Perform termite treatment services safely and according to company guidelines and standard practices
  • Applying anti-termite treatments to structures according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions
  • Communicate to the customer critical conditions that are conducive to termite activity
  • Discuss procedures and structural modifications, which may be supplemental to treatment process
  • Verifying that job specifications are appropriate for each work order
  • Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment
  • Completing production forms documenting services provided
  • Interacting with customers and explaining services provided
