About The Position

McGill Environmental Systems is hiring a 1st shift Plant / General Laborer (Utility Technician I) to join their team in Morrisville, PA. This role is a physically active position where reliability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic are valued. The Utility Technician I will help keep the compost manufacturing operation running safely and efficiently by performing a variety of hands-on tasks that support production, equipment operators, and site operations. Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in general labor, warehouse, manufacturing, landscaping, construction, industrial, or outdoor work preferred
  • Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Strong attendance and dependability
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety practices
  • Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions
  • Comfortable working around dust, dirt, mud, odors, noise, and moving equipment
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, steel-toe footwear, and respiratory protection when required

Responsibilities

  • Perform site cleanup and general labor duties throughout the facility
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials
  • Support Heavy Equipment Operators and Maintenance Technicians
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Assist with inspections, housekeeping, and routine operational tasks
  • Work safely around equipment, vehicles, and industrial machinery
  • Help ensure smooth day-to-day operations across the site
