About The Position

The Marvin Group is a Strategic Partner for Global Alternate Mission Equipment and Sustainment. The Marvin Group, a leading defense contractor, plays a crucial role in the development and manufacturing of various systems for military aerospace and vehicles. Based in Southern California near the Los Angeles International Airport, The Marvin Group consists of Marvin Engineering (MEC), Marvin Test Solutions (MTS) and Marvin Land Systems (MLS). Marvin Engineering designs and produces military Alternate Mission Equipment. Marvin Test Solutions designs and manufactures armament Test Equipment. Marvin Land Systems specializes in the design and build of power and thermal management systems. For over 60 years we have maintained “A Tradition of Excellence”, serving as a trusted source for our unwavering commitment to supporting all branches of the Department of Defense and our global allies. Requirements

  • Maintain awareness and understanding of documents published in the BMS Library
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Understanding of ERP Systems
  • Basic reading skills. Must be able to follow directions
  • Office Suite - Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Ability to perform work accurately, timely and thoroughly
  • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem, with thinking in such a way as to produce a new idea and concepts
  • Detailed-oriented and self-motivation skills
  • Must be able to speak/read/write English
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace experience (a plus)
  • 1-2 years forklift experience (a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with proper material, parts and product handling at all times.
  • Adherence to procedural requirements for packaging and unpackaging of materials, parts and product.
  • Follow all Safety regulatory and company policies and procedures.
  • Assist Operations work centers with Assembly and/or Manufacturing processes.
  • Use basic hand tools, i.e., screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, hammer, ratchets & sockets, ruler, calipers.
  • Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards.
  • Identify defects and take appropriate measures communicate and follow established non-conformance procedures.
  • Perform all work in accordance with highest quality standards and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • May operate Forklift, electrical or manual palletjacks, cranes and jib hoist.
  • Able to bend, twist, walk and stand for entire shift.
  • Perform other duties as required.
