About The Position

The Utility Technician/Dishwasher performs several kitchen activities including pot washing, dishwashing, general cleaning duties and storing food and non-food supplies. This role is for a fine dining space within a senior living community. The community is described as a unique, Silver LEED-certified Life Plan Community in Issaquah, Washington, offering an all-inclusive lifestyle, superior hospitality, and beautiful location.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively and perform simple arithmetic.
A minimum of one year experience as a Prep Cook with Dishwasher responsibilities in a hotel, restaurant, club, or similar institution.
Ability to plan and organize work, to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications, and standards.
Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance.
Food Handlers certification
Basic understanding of English.
Must be able to stand/walk for 100% of the workday.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. independently.
Must be able to push and pull bus carts and tray carts weighing up to 100 lbs. independently.
Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and balance frequently throughout the workday.
Must be able to perform sweeping/mopping functions with ease.

Responsibilities

Maintains assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition.
Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.
Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Pot washing, dishwashing, general cleaning duties and storing food and non-food supplies.
