About The Position

The Utility Tech position at Pella Corporation is responsible for maintaining paint equipment, performing various tests, and completing preventative maintenance tasks to ensure safety, quality, and production requirements are met. This role requires a strong understanding of maintenance procedures, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The position involves working in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to moderate noise, high/low temperatures, and confined or elevated spaces, and requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

Requirements

• Pass pre-employment tests
• Work in a team environment with the ability to communicate in a concise, polite and respectful manner
• Manufacturing-related experience is required
• Strong understanding of maintenance procedures

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures
• Regular/dependable attendance required
• Flexibility of work hours including overtime
• Maintain paint equipment such as changing filters, cleaning and replacing nozzles, washing and draining tanks
• Perform viscosity checks and water tests
• Completed preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning overspray from booths and floors, checking filters for proper airflow, inspecting system for lubrication needs, safety checks, and documenting findings to monitor wear and tear
• Ability to rotate to other positions as needed
• Other duties may be assigned
