About The Position

HHS is seeking friendly, compassionate, team players to join their housekeeping team as a Utility Tech. This role is crucial for providing a superior level of cleaning quality in a hospital environment, thereby creating a safe, clean, and comfortable setting where patients can heal. HHS, a private, family-owned business founded in 1975, is dedicated to caring for its team members and delivering honest, quality-driven customer service. The company provides services including housekeeping, food, and facility management to nearly 1,000 customers across six industries, including healthcare.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
  • Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must pass a drug screen
  • Must provide proof of employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • Many healthcare facilities require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption in place

Nice To Haves

  • Housekeeping experience (cleaning, environmental services, custodian, janitorial, room attendant, floor care technician, hotel operations, healthcare, laundry)

Responsibilities

  • Remove trash and debris from areas around the facility
  • Sort facility waste to ensure proper disposal
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness of assigned areas
  • Follow all HHS linen procedures and best practices
  • Provide friendly and kind service to all individuals in the hospital
  • Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently
