Utility Systems Technician I/II (Wastewater)
About The Position
The City of Chandler Public Works & Utilities Department is seeking qualified individuals to join our Wastewater Collection team as a Utility Systems Technician I - CDL or a Utility Systems Technician II - CDL. This role involves performing installations, maintenance, inspections, and repairs on wastewater collection systems. The position is scheduled to work Monday through Thursday from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Employees will be required to be available for emergency call-outs, work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and be on standby, as needed. The City of Chandler's Utilities Division is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the City's water and wastewater infrastructure, treating millions of gallons of water and wastewater daily. The division serves residential, commercial, and industrial users through an extensive network of water, sewer, and reclaimed water mains.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalency
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Temporary Traffic Control Safety Certification within 6 months of hire or promotion date
