We’re currently hiring a Utility Systems Maintenance Mechanic to perform skilled mechanical and technical work supporting Cary’s wastewater system. In this role, you'll inspect, maintain, and repair pumps and equipment at remote wastewater pump stations, with responsibilities that also include electrical and electronic systems. This position includes rotating weekend duty and offers the opportunity to work alongside a talented and supportive team that takes pride in serving the Cary community. Work is performed under the regular supervision of a Utility Systems Maintenance Supervisor. Utility Systems Management positions are designated as "critical positions", meaning employees are required to report to work during adverse weather or other emergency situations, to ensure continued operation of remote wastewater facilities. This role will be based at 150 Towerview Court, Cary, NC 27513. Anticipated hiring range: $56,867.20 – $69,867.20. Highly qualified candidates with extensive relevant experience may be considered for a salary above this range.
