About The Position

Busch’s is hiring a Utility Specialist to join their family-owned Michigan team. This role involves performing a variety of tasks across multiple departments, ensuring product is properly rotated, displayed, and stocked. The Utility Specialist will also be responsible for maintaining the store's appearance through cleaning, minor maintenance, and responding to service calls. This position offers flexible schedules, employee discounts, 401K with company match, tuition reimbursement, and daily pay availability.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Dependable and reliable.
  • Have a positive attitude and the ability to interact with guests.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule in a multitude of departments.
  • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills, including written, verbal and listening skills.
  • Proficient selling skills to ask questions, listen and make product recommendations.
  • Proficient cleaning abilities to meet sanitation and visual standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification for Hi Lo / Powered Pallet Jack desired.

Responsibilities

  • Covering for other associates as needed in multiple departments.
  • Ensuring product is rotated, within date, and properly displayed on shelves or in case according to appropriate planogram.
  • Maintaining the store’s appearance through tasks such as cleaning, responding to departments’ needs, small maintenance and responding to other service calls.
  • Receiving and verifying department deliveries, including unloading product from trucks.
  • Merchandising, pricing, and stocking product.
  • Completing price changes and tag maintenance timely.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of sales floor, coolers, and back room, including damaged product area.
  • Working items from back stock on to the sales floor and working pick lists.
  • Cleaning department including floors, shelving and coolers.
  • Assisting with preparation for inventory.
  • Following safe food handling and personal hygiene practices.
  • Creating an environment that enables guests to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within departments and throughout the store.
  • Bagging guest groceries as needed.
  • Operating POS (point of sale) as needed.
  • Operating cardboard baler and making bales as required.
  • Anticipating problems, taking preventative measures, and adapting to changes that improve operations or guest experience.
  • Consistently following Busch’s policies and procedures.
  • Being familiar with products and services and actively seeking and sharing that information.
